Northampton Saints Rugby Union: The Northampton Saints Rugby Union Team are one of England’s leading Premiership clubs, with several international players on the team and six major title wins to date. Franklin’s Gardens in St James is home to the Saints and within walking distance of the town centre and the train station, The rugby ground also hosts a variety of summer music concerts and events.

Northampton Town Football Club: Northampton Town Football Club are based at the Sixfields Stadium. The club, affectionately known as the Cobblers, were recently promoted to League 1. Sixfields has a variety of restaurants and bars, a gym, tenpin bowling and large multi-screen cinema, so there is plenty to see and do alongside the beautiful game.

Northamptonshire County Cricket Club: Northamptonshire County Cricket Club and their limited-overs team, known as the ‘Steelbacks’ - who play in the Twenty20 competition- have been based at their Abington Avenue ground since 1886. The club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales.
