Title Brampton Valley Way
Image
Description
This 14 mile, flat trail runs along a former railway line, through open countryside between Northampton and Market Harborough. It begins at the Boughton crossing, at the junction of Brampton Lane and the A5199 Welford Road, where there is a free carpark. Parking is also available further along the trail at the Brampton Halt, Spratton crossing, Draughton crossing and the Kelmarsh station. It is ideal for walkers and cyclists, with some interesting features along the way, including rather spooky tunnels and Kelmarsh and Great Oxendon. It is also home to the Northampton and Lamport Steam Railway, which operates steam train rides and themed events throughout the year.
