Northampton Borough Council have released a guide for residents and visitors interested in exploring some of Northampton’s rich and vast history.

The 3 mile Northampton Heritage Trail takes in some of the town centre’s finest structures and areas of historical note and importance such as Becket’s Well, 78 Derngate, the Guildhall as well as other, lesser-known gems such as Hazelrigg House and St John’s Hospital & Church.

There are 22 points of interest in total with a few other suggestions for things a little further afield that are also worth visiting.

Maps are available from the Guildhall, Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, Tourist Information Centre and other venues in the town.
